Who this covers

This policy explains how sigcue handles information when you use sigcue.com. It covers visitor data on this site and public discussion records used as evidence. It is written in plain language. It is not legal advice.

Visitor data on this site

Most browsing does not require an account.

Your watchlist, notes, and theme preference are stored in this browser with local storage. They stay on your device unless you clear them in Settings or clear site data in your browser.

Standard server and hosting logs may record technical request details such as IP address, user agent, URL, and time. These logs are used for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

Admin access uses a signed session cookie after ChatGPT sign-in for allowlisted operators. That cookie is httpOnly and is not used for public browsing.

What we do not do with visitor data

We do not sell personal information.

We do not use visitor watchlists or notes to train public models.

We do not scrape private accounts, require source-platform passwords, or read content behind login for public product pages.

Public source data used as evidence

sigcue collects public discussions through official APIs and other permitted sources as they are enabled. Each retained record keeps source attribution, identifiers, and timestamps so claims can be checked.

Author identifiers may be stored in hashed form for independence and duplication checks. Published pages link to original source URLs when evidence is shown.

When a source record is deleted or becomes unavailable, sigcue marks it and excludes it from future metrics, then recalculates affected signals. See How it works for the evidence method.

Cookies

Public pages do not require cookies for basic use.

An admin session cookie may be set for authorized operators after sign-in. Theme and watchlist use local storage, not cookies.

Children

sigcue is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Retention

Browser local data stays until you clear it.

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and security.

Evidence records follow source availability and sigcue’s correction and removal process.

Your choices

Clear watchlist, notes, and related local data in Settings, or clear site data in your browser.

Stop using the site at any time.

Request correction or removal related to source content or personal data through the Contact page. Include the page URL, the source URL if relevant, and what you want reviewed. Requests are checked against the original source state and our records.
